At All Saints, we have services on three Sundays of the month (two are Communion and the other a Family Service). These are at 10.30am on the second, third and fourth Sundays.
The first Sunday of the month is a Benefice Communion Service at St. Mary’s, Bures and if there is a fifth Sunday we alternate with St Edmunds, Assington for a Benefice Communion. Information about dates and location of Sunday services can be found on our Calendar page.
During the year we have a variety of ‘Special Services’. These include:
- Plough Sunday
- Mothering Sunday
- Good Friday
- Flower Festival
- Thank You Service
- Songs of Praise
- Harvest Festival
- Remembrance Day
- Carol Service
- Christmas Day
- Special Taizé Services
On Easter morning, after our 8 o’clock Holy Communion, we have a hearty breakfast in the Schoolroom attended by over 40 people.
During Lent and on some other occasions we have a Home Group. Also during Lent we hold weekly soup lunches on Tuesdays, culminating in a simple Communion around the table. The donations received usually go to local charities.
Last year, we donated to both the Autistic Society and our twinned Diocese in Kagera, Tanzania.
In 2013 we were able to donate money raised to Toilet Twinning and £240 was sent to Chad to fund a toilet block in a village. For more information, see the Suffolk Free Press Article on our News page.
