First Tuesday Open House
On the first Tuesday of each month throughout the year we have First Tuesday Open House, when the Church is unlocked from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., making it available for anyone to visit for peace and quiet contemplation.
In the Schoolroom we provide constant refreshments and lunch. This is open to everyone to come and go as they please, offering friendship and hospitality. It has proved to be very popular and we have visits from family tree researchers, walkers and Geocachers, as well as many local people who know where to find us on that day!
Something All Saints Church is really well known for is its beautiful floral decorations during special times of the year, particularly at the Flower Festival when it is enhanced with an array of hand made quilts from local patchwork groups. Visit our Church Gallery to see photos from our last Flower Festival.
The Harvest Fair, which coincides with the Sponsored Cycle Ride for the Suffolk Historic Churches Trust, precedes the Harvest Festival service, and incorporates a fun dog show – See photos of the last dog show in our Church Gallery.
Later in the Autumn we have a light-hearted Harvest Supper, held in the Schoolroom, which again is attended by approximately 40 people.
The Heritage Group is researching the Church and locality. We meet every month and have included visits to Record Offices which also includes a lunch out!
We have also established a small group of us who enjoy hand-bell ringing. Our first public performance was at the Carol Service in 2012.
From the Christingle service to the decorations in the Church with flowers, nightlights, candles, and the Christmas Tree for the Christmas services, the church always looks beautiful and inviting.
You can also look forward to a Parish magazine that is published three times a year: Easter, Harvest and Christmas.
